Pupil Premium Grant

Each year schools are required to publish details of their Pupil Premium allocation, details of the main barriers to educational achievement, how they plan to spend the allocation in the current year to address these barriers, how the impact will be measured and when the next review will take place.

Schools must also detail how the previous year's allocation was spent and the impact of the expenditure on the attainment of those pupils for whom the funding was allocated.

How will the money be spent this academic year? 2016-17

The total amount allocated to the school for the current academic year, 2016 – 2017, is £125,980. At Collingwood Primary School approximately 40% of pupils are eligible for Pupil Premium funding which is higher than the national average.

Following consultation with the Pupil Premium link governor, the school will continue to allocate funding in line with spending in the year 2015/16, to maintain the emotional well-being team in tier one.

In tier two we will continue to fund the Speech and Language Specialist one day a week. In 2016/17 a program of development will begin to train up a specialist TA for the school.

In tier three, funding will be allocated to address key barriers to educational achievement faced by disadvantaged pupils at Collingwood Primary School. Please click the link below to download a copy of our Pupil Premium Funding statement for 2016/17 which outlines this spending.
