School Meals

We offer school meals which follow strict nutritional standards to ensure that your child has a meal that has the correct balance of nutrients to help with their development.
School meals cost 50p each day.  If you require further information about school meals you can contact the Catering Manager on 331066 or www.hullcc.gov.uk.
* From September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are offered a free healthy school meal. Even though the meal is free, if you are usually entitled to free school meals, please still apply as it provides extra funding for the children. Forms are available at the office.

Some families may be entitled to free school meals for their child/children if they are in receipt of certain benefits.  Application forms are available at the school office or from the
Welfare Benefits Office,
Municipal Buildings,
Trippett Street,
Hull.
Alternatively you can click on the Hull City Council link below.

School meals offer a daily selection of freshly cooked main meals and desserts, fresh fruit or yoghurt and salads.
All meals are nutritionally balanced over the course of one week. Menus are produced in consultation with qualified dieticians and are served by helpful and understanding catering staff.

Children can sit down and enjoy their meal while at the same time developing those social skills of eating together that are so important in later life.

A well-fed and happy child is more likely to be receptive to participating in the afternoon’s  activities.
Each meal aims to provide 35 per cent of all essential nutritional requirements that will assist your child in leading a bright and healthy lifestyle.

Someone else prepares and cooks lunch for your child, which saves you worrying about a packed meal every day.
Primary school children receive a nutritious meal consisting of a main course, pudding and a drink.
