Design and Technology
At Collingwood Primary School Design and Technology is often taught through our topics and focuses on three areas - construction, textiles and food. When working on a project pupils will follow the 3-step design process (design, make and evauate) and will develop their knowledge of technical concepts such as mechanisms.
In Foundation Stage the children have been busy using their imagination and skills to build a variety of models using different construction toys. They have also really enjoyed using the loose parts in our outdoor area to create their own large scale models.
