At Collingwood, our art is taught progressively through topic, aiming to build skills as our students move through the school. Collingwood pupils work on sketching, painting, shading, sculpture and multimedia throughout the year.
FS1 have been looking at warm colours, through the art of Kandinsky.
FS2 have painted portraits and used natural objects found around school.
Y1 have been exploring primary colours by using colour wheels.
Y2 have painted and collaged with warm and cold colours.
Y3 have painted and created Roman artefacts, in line with their topic and history work.
Y4 have experimented with air dry clay, making various Greek pots, in line with their topic.
Y5 have created multi-media artwork in response to their work around WW2.
Y5 have also been studying perspective.
Y6 have created artwork, studying colour blending, in response to their WW2 topic.
