Welcome to Colossus!

Whilst we are away from school Mrs Crawford and Mrs Marshall have been working away producing home learning packs. You can collect these from school every Friday and we will be messaging you on Class Dojo and Twitter with all the information you need to keep up your learning at home. There's a timetable too with links to all the webpages you need to support you. The work we have produced is a guide and please don't feel that you have to complete a certain amount of work. If you do though, send pictures and messages to us both so that we can stay in touch and answer any queries that you might have.

If you have not yet set up a Class Dojo account please email either Mrs Crawford or Mrs Marshal on:

For the first part of this term we will be looking at J Arthur Rank (a local and very famous historic figure). See what you can find out about him using the internet!

We will look at animals including humans in science and for the first part of the term, we plan on doing a little bit of French!

We both miss you all very much and look forward to when we can see you all in school once more!

In literacy we will be looking at instructions, an information text and we will be attempting our first script writing work.

The Year 3 & 4 spelling list is attached below.

In numeracy we will continue to work on place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division. The times tables that we need to know are our 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, 8's and 10's.

Home learning packs will provide learning support on fractions for the first part of this term.

Our book this term is 'How To Train Your Dragon' by Cressida Cowell. We really hope that we'll be back in school in time to read this fantastic story! In the mean time please make sure you finish reading your home readers and that you are doing a little bit of reading each day.
