Can I use a model poem to write my own poem?
In Literacy this term we have been looking at poetry. We then decided to create our own verb poems based on what we do during our school day. We planned our poems and then wrote them using our best cursive handwriting, finger spaces, full stops and capital letters.
Can I recall number bonds to 10 and 20?
Can I recall doubles and halves to 20?
In our maths lessons we have been focusing on recalling our number facts. We have worked really hard to learn our number bonds to 10 and 20 as well as our doubles and halves to 20. We've played lots of fun games to help us get really quick at recalling these number facts.
Can I label the parts of a plant and tree?
During our sciences lessons we have been learning all about plants and trees. We have been investigating the different parts of plants and trees, as well as identifying common wild and garden plants.
How do minibeasts and human change over time?
Our theme this term has been minibeasts and humans and we have thoroughly enjoyed having our very own minibeasts in the classroom! We have observed and cared for the tadpoles and caterpillars over time until they became beautiful butterflies and little frogs. We also learnt all about their lifecycles.
Do I know about great artists?
As part of art week, we studied the artist Claude Monet in particular his famous lily pad painting. We sketched our own lily pads and used a wide range of materials to create our own piece of art. We also sculpted our own frogs out of clay, it was very messy work!
